Some surprisings news emerged today that a man had been arrested at Leeds Bradford airport on suspicion of being drunk. Not very surprising you may think but the man was an airline pilot
The wind caused these dodgy landings 🙂
Apparently the man is in his 50’s and is thought to work for Pakistan International airways.
In the UK all airline crew have strict alcohol limits to adhere to. Blood alcohol levels must be below 20mcg per 100ml compared to the limit for drivers of 80 mcg.
The police confirmed a man was in custody ‘on suspicion of carrying out an activity ancillary to an aviation function while impaired by drink’
We shall await developments with interest. It is rare but not unknown for pilots to be arrested in these circumstances.
